How I Record My Audio: Tascam DR-10L
I’ve used some fancy mics for recording music, video, and even some high-end wireless lapel mics like the Rode Filmmaker Kit. I’ll stick with my quality Rode condenser mic for recording vocals in my music, but for my lapel mics to record dialog for video, I am hands down sticking with my Tascam DR-10L!
This little mic has great features, ease of use, and most importantly, good quality audio! So much so that I use this mic setup—not some fancy expensive one—for recording my podcasts and even the upcoming audio version of my book!
This handy recorder records to a micro SD card. The included lapel mic clips on your tie, tshirt, the brim of your hat, etc. I record both full volume and reduced volume versions of clips simultaneously—that way if the regular one is too loud (and clips) I have a backup. I record in full .WAV format, too—high quality! The menu is easy to navigate, which means a lot to me, for sure!
You can even get a white version for the bride at a wedding (or to match my white shirt, lol)!
