Get Snow Off Your Roof with Ease with the Snow Peeler!

Okay, it’s not easy and it works your shoulders pretty good. But it’s way better than getting on a slippery roof with a ladder. And the 30 foot long handle (comes apart of course) makes snow removal from the ground a lot safer and easier.

Not my favorite use for my winter camo, but you gotta get the work done before you can go out and play, I guess. :)

The end of that pole has a frame on it that breaks up the snow, allowing it to easily slide down that sheet. Works pretty slick!

Above is the model I have. The 30 footer helps with our back roof which is quite high. if you don’t need the longer reach, a 20 footer is available below.

This video demostrates it well. Now, do you need to do this every time it snows? Probably not. Most roofs can withstand heavy snows. But when we had 31” of snow in late December 2020, I started to get a little worried. That’s a LOT of weight. On a 1,500 square foot roof, that’s about 50,000 pounds on the roof that wasn’t there before. Add to that the fact that we were then forecasted to get 2” to 3” of rain (which the snow would soak up like a sponge) and you’re adding another 20,000 pounds or so to that roof. And think about how much longer it would take to melt off!

I ordered the Snow Peeler on a Saturday and had it ready to use before the rain came. We got the majority of the roof cleared off, and I slept a lot better at night.

End result? After some warmer temps and even the predicted rain, our roof is almost snow-free. Made a big difference in weight, I bet! Yes, I’m wearing a Santa hat…it’s Christmas Day, after all!
