An Easy Way to Measure Grains!

I am not one for building and weighing arrows all the time. In my opinion, crossbow hunting does not require that. I don’t really enjoy that as much as I do other aspects of crossbow hunting, and therefore I don’t spend a lot time or money on it.

However, that’s not to say that weighing the occasional broadhead isn’t important to me! I weigh my field points and broadheads (and arrows, or “bolts,” if you prefer) and group them accordingly. Most of them are at least close to “as advertised” weights. And, of course, if you need to make sure your field tip is a 100, a 125 or a 150, then this scale is handy, too!

A 150 grain broadhead…close enough, I guess.

Now the one pictured above is a more modern version of the one I use. I’m happy with mine. I have no doubt a newer version would be satisfactory, of course.
