Put the Screws to Your Burris Oracle X!
…in a good way, LOL.
There are a lot of things that I love about the Burris Oracle X, but there are a few things, as you know, that I don't like about it. Among those things are those tiny little Allen wrench screws used to tighten it before and after you do the 20-yard adjustment.
Thanks to One-Eyed Archer, problem solved! These screws definitely help with the front screw issue that is hard to reach on certain crossbows because the Allen wrenches tend to hit the enclosed Barrel on my SWAT X1 or the rail on other crossbows.
I just swapped out the original screw for one of these. They are cheap and you can get a bunch right on Amazon.com, check out the link below! You don't pay any extra with that link but Death by Bunjie does receive small referral fee.
It’s kind of interesting—I learned a little bit about screws by putting this together today. “M4” stands for Metric-4mm. The 0.7 references the thread pitch of .7mm. That’s pretty standard for metric thread pitches—it’s considered “coarse.” The 8mm is just the length of the threaded area. Neat stuff!
