Targets for FAST Crossbows!

Once you change one thing, you change something else down the line. Where we heard that before? Oh, in my book, The Death by Bunjie Crossbow Method!

When we get these fast crossbows, we need new targets. Our need for speed creates a need for new targets. I think I'm on my third generation of crossbow targets. I started with styrofoam and layered foam targets, then different crossbow block targets and now the high FPS targets. I can say that these are different targets all together. Introducing the Morrell Kinetic 1.0 and the Big Shot Titan 10X! Read on!

Here is the Morrell Kinetic 1.0 in action. You have to have faith in your target to chronograph test the Ravin R29X in the basement at 453 fps!

The Morrell Kinetic 1.0 came highly recommended. It’s a heavy dude, that’s for sure (65 lbs) but stops arrows with ease and the pull out easy. Like, really easy! Two finger easy! Field points only.

What about testing broadheads? No self respecting crossbow hunter heads into the woods without testing their favorite broadhead! And, then, testing it again! Enter the Big Shot Titan 10X. It’s a whopper. First impression was, “this is made of something different.” It’s squishy. Best I can tell you. But it stops those fast Ravin arrows. And, depending on the broadhead, they pull out pretty easily. The Swackers seem to fold back and pull out easy. Same with the fold down style broadheads like the Killer Instinct Killertech. The Swat MOAB? Not so much (the blades seem to work against each other, making it a difficult pull). But it stops them, that’s for sure.

The Big Shot Titan 10X is a big shot indeed! It's the black and yellow fella in the middle. It stopped a 3" Swa-hacker at point blank range with ease, after passing through a watermelon. Check out the video below where you'll see Friend of Bunjie Jim (aka One Eyed Archer) pull that arrow with ease.

So, there you go! All that’s left is the shooting!
